Texas Hold'em Tournament - Don't Be Afraid Of Losing - It's A Major Part Of The Game

/2008-07-21/

Hello everyone.

Today I am going to talk about a subject that EVERYONE hates in life, sports, and especially Texas Hold'em Poker.

LOSING. Nobody likes to lose anything, but you have to learn it is a part of the game. I hear all the time

from my friends that are poker pros about how they LOST, and they ALL have stories.

Well, let me you guys in on something. This game HAS to have a WINNER and a LOSER, and in Multi-Table tournaments it's even worse. There is 90% losers and only 10% winners. That's 90% of the players complaining about how they lost.

Losing is inevitable sometimes, and there is really nothing that you can do about it.

Make sure that your bankroll can handle the swings and eventually if you are a good player you will hit a BIG win to make up for all of your losses.

In my guide I tell my players to only play MTT's. I understand that by telling them to do this, there is going to be some of them who will go 5, 10, 15, 20, maybe even more tournaments without CASHING. This is why I recommend that you only use 1-2% of your bankroll on any given tournament.

It is said that what makes a great players is not how he handles himself when he is winning, but how he handles himself when he is loosing.

Poker can be related to a sport. Often, when ONE thing goes wrong it influences the whole outcome of the game. Champions rise above the small losses and look for the GREAT wins.

Be a champion today.

Good luck at the tables.
