There are many ways to find books on gambling and every thing covered by that subject. The simplest way is to use the internet. The internet has many websites dedicated to books such as Amazon or Barnes and Noble where you can do a search for the book you want. There is a very large selection of books on subjects like, how to win at blackjack, the rules of poker and any on all the different versions of these games. Although many of the books were actually written by some of the smartest mathematicians and professional gamblers, who show you in great detail how the games work and how to beat them, most of them were written by people who were just trying to make a buck and are not worth the paper they are printed on. So with so many choices how are you supposed to find the best one? The best way to do this is to find a forum of book reviews from people who have read the book, but not professional book reviewers and see what other people like yourself have to say about the book. Only pick the books that got the best reviews. Stay away from the books that no one liked, except if the book is a very recent release. New books may not have been reviewed yet and you may have to take the chance or wait till others have had time to read it and test out what it says.



Before searching for a book on gambling in general try to narrow the search down by being at least game specific, so do not do a search for casino games, do a search for Roulette instead. One of the actions to perform before blindly accepting what others write, is to check who the author is. Examine their biographies. By this, I do not mean how many children they have and where they are staying. Check their printing history. have they published before? If so, what? If possible, get your hands on it and read it. If the author is an unknown, you can take a risk, but if he has had other books, or articles in publication before it is again easier to check on their expertise by reading over old reviews of their style and the content.



If you are looking for a book on a specific subject within a vast topic such as on playing Texas Holdem at online casinos or in an online tournament, you need to be extra cautious. Your choice will be slim, but still, check out whether others have read it. Check whether others are buying it too.
